My story begins as early as 2005. As a young Lebanese woman discovering the new website that was Facebook, I was in awe of the significant potential such a platform could provide to its users. I started dreaming of working in the domain, teaching people about digital marketing and becoming successful in it. I was able to reinforce my passion and test my abilities as an entrepreneur by building Net2work Branding from scratch in 2016.
By representing my expertise and ideas to various types of medias like national magazines, YouTube and television (Noursat), I realized the difficulties of starting fresh in a world where huge marketing companies monopolized the field. I took the liberty of contacting numerous different foreign companies that were interested in personal branding, which allowed me to expose myself to the world of digital marketing. Becoming the first Arab woman to speak of personal branding, I was then asked to contribute to a book, Firestarters: How Innovators, Instigators, and Initiators Can Inspire You to Ignite Your Own Life, co-authored by Raoul Davis, Kathy Palokoff and Paul Eder, as an influencer.
Being the only Middle Eastern woman mentioned in the book, I started wondering about the lack of Arab women in the field. My mind went back to my mother who, through her strength in raising me alone after her divorce from my father in a war-torn Lebanon, has inspired me to focus on a different goal; sharing my ideas and expertise to help advance other women’s careers.
Without wasting any time, I managed to record 10 episodes for Nafizati, an Arabic e-magazine, where I openly discussed and explained how women seeking success should go about starting their journeys. After building diplomatic relationships with various prominent individuals and organizations in the Arab world, my name flourished in the digital marketing media field. It was the moment when I found myself ready to share my knowledge with the women of Lebanon and the Arab world.
I started off simple by providing accessible workshops on various social media platforms to women of all age groups. In just three short months, I had provided 400+ women with the necessary information to further their careers and online presence with the help of a plethora of NGOs and online networks. My passion grew the more I instilled comfort, happiness and success in other women’s lives.
Today, my work revolves on providing the best for anyone who requires it. Being blessed with a daughter, my passion proceeds at home where I focus on teaching her the ways of becoming a strong and successful woman in life. Every woman deserves the necessary kickstart to become a successful entrepreneur or leader in their careers.
